The Kari-Tek Easy Load Roof Rack is both a kayak roof rack and a canoe roof rack. It fits on to your vehicle’s existing roof bars and lowers to the side for safe, easy and secure loading of kayaks and canoes.

How does it work?

To use the rack, two quick release locking pins are removed and the bars slide outwards and down the side of the vehicle where they rest without touching the bodywork.

Your kayaks or canoes then only require lifting around 1 metre onto the rack, where they can then be secured using the appropriate straps or clamps. Lifting and securing takes place at a much easier and safer height (no more trying to climb onto the vehicle roof to secure things!)

Once the load is secured, the rack is simply raised and slid back into position and the locking pins replaced. When not required the sliding bars can be very easily removed.

How Do you know which bits to choose?

• Firstly the size of rack you need is based upon the size of your vehicle below is a guide of vehicle height and which ELRR to select from the drop down menu, the ELRR is the Easy Load Roof Rack System and is the main part:

·        Up to 1.5m high – Select the ELRR Standard 130cm - Easy Load Roof Rack to suit most cars and small vans. Carries up to 3 kayaks*

·        1.5m to 1.8m high – Select the ELRR Standard Plus 130cm - Easy Load Roof Rack to suit most light vans. Carries up to 3 kayaks*

·        1.8m to 2.0m high – Select the ELRR X Wide 160cm - Easy Load Roof Rack to suit medium height vehicles. Carries up to 4 kayaks*

• 2.0m to 2.4m high –please call us to ask about the XX Wide System and also... - New! High Lift Easy Load Roof Rack with built-in winch to suit high top vehicles. Carries up to 2 kayaks*

• Next up you need to measure the width of your roof bars, based on the width of your roof bars you can select one of the following fixing kits to attach the system to your existing roof rack.

• For bars up to 37mm wide – Select FK 37 – This is the typical size of standard ‘rapid’ type bars

• For Bars up to 50mm wide – Select FK 50 – This is another common size, and will also fit some aero bars

• For Bars up to 60mm wide – Select FK 60 – Not as common on standard bars but they are out there. Popular size for aero bars that are 50mm and wider

• For Bars up to 70 mm wide – Select FK 70 – Not very common, some commercial bars are this size.
